Episode 32: Supernatural Healing of a TEN year Paralysis - with Bryan LaPooh

Bryan was in the prime of his life. Excelling in his law enforcement career, his beautiful wife Meg was expecting, and it was days before Christmas. Responding to a dispatch to an icy condition on a steep hill, Bryan got out of his patrol car and started to walk around the front of the car and that was all he remembered. Witnesses state that his feet slipped out from under him and he landed on his head, breaking two of his cervical vertebrae and sliding down the road. Life changed for Bryan and his family in a mere moment.

Bryan candidly shares his very personal ten year struggle that followed, the lowest point at which he felt he could not bear to live, and the path that led to much needed inner healing and the MIRACLE that is undeniable in the return of the function of his right hand and his right leg.
A few of the supernatural highlights:
25:30 Bryan receives prayer and is overcome by a supernatural experience.
30:30 The woman who prays over Bryan shares the vision she was given of his clutched hand 2 1/2 months before she ever meets Bryan.
31:00 Secondary healing of the man who reaches out his arms to help Bryan as he is falling to the floor! AMAZING!

A few of Bryan's takeaways that I love:
"God still does MIRACLES, just as he did in the Biblical days! He is same today, yesterday and tomorrow!"
"We need to be OPEN to receive healing and RELY on the Lord. Push forward with him and know he is right there."
"Stop and look back each day and be grateful for what the Lord does for you each and every day. Count each blessing!"

What does the Bible say about these supernatural type healings?
Because we can ask and be filled with the Holy Spirit...
in John 14:12, Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”

James 5:14 "Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord."

Hebrews 10:39 "But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who BELIEVE and ARE saved."

Bryan! I am overjoyed to share this amazing testimony, and I thank you for your time, and for your service. I am excited to see how God is going to continue to use you! Again, thank you!

Episode 31: Angelic Visit Brings Peace - with Jo Grieco

Jo is in a state of distress as she realizes her mother's passing is imminent. She calls out to God for strength. Suddenly there is an unexpected knock at the door. Raphael is not one of the regular staff members with whom she has become familiar, but she is grateful for help and she welcomes him. His visit is timed perfectly and his presence provides peace and comfort as her mother's vital signs become unstable.

Listen as Jo recalls the experience, the events that come full circle leading into this appearance and the final sign from above affirming the promise that Jo made to Raphael. Just beautiful!

"When you feel so far away, that's when he is the closest and is pursuing you the most! When you look back on your situation, you can see how his hand was in it the whole time." - Jo Grieco

Episode 30: ISIS Fighter Accepts Jesus - with Brittany Akinsola

Brittany Akinsola shares her experience serving with Samaritan's Purse as an ICU Nurse in Mosul, Iraq (the modern day Nineveh). She is faced with caring for a mix of patients...a critically wounded child, a female civilian, an Iraqi soldier, and an ISIS fighter.

Hear the challenges she faced, the shift in perspective that she never anticipated, how it impacted her faith, and how God provided a miracle conversion in the most unlikely of converts.

"Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples--when they see the love you have for each other." John 13:34-35 MSG

Brittany's lesson in God's limitless grace and mercy:
"If God can work through someone like that, someone who has done unspeakable acts...this was the impossible, and God did it. It grew my faith."

Episode 29: Seeing God in the Details - with Daytona Erkan

Daytona shares a very personal story about a trauma she endured, and the journey of healing that followed. Her father was stationed in Germany during the war, and she (a young teen) had to undergo surgical placement of an implantable cardiac device for an unstable heart condition. There was hostility among the staff for Americans at that time, and Daytona endured the entire 2 1/2 hour procedure without any anesthetic, while being restrained by staff members.

Daytona shares candidly the highs and lows in her healing journey, and offers hope for others that are struggling with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and forgiveness.

Are you suffering from PTSD? There is hope for your healing!

Insights from Daytona:
"At times, You need to be OK with not being OK."
"Its a process that takes time."
"God is with you in your darkest moments."
"Healing occurs in layers, and God won't waste it. Trust in Him and as you reflect back on it, you will find Him in the details." - Daytona Erkan

Episode 28: Coping with Grief During the Holidays - with Julie Kemp

Julie Kemp.jpg
Julie Kemp has 11 years of experience as a Grief Facilitator. Additionally, Julie has personally experienced loss at the holidays, and she finds peace in helping others that are on a grief journey.

Julie lost her husband suddenly in a car accident in October of 1997. While her son Landon (age 8) miraculously survived, he had a long road to recovery. She spent Thanksgiving in the hospital, and got to take her son home the week before Christmas. She shares openly what she experienced that first year, what helped her cope, and offers practical tips for those facing loss this holiday. She also shares warning signs for trouble and how to intervene when help is needed.

Julie's recommendations for Thanksgiving: Count your blessings! Be thankful. Create a gratitude list A-Z, anything that comes to mind. Be thankful as you remember the many special ways your life was touched by your loved one. You hurt so much because you loved so much.

Julie's top 10 Holiday Survival Tips:
1. Allow yourself to break away from old traditions, or start new traditions, at least for the first year. Even subtle changes can help you cope. Make a plan.
2. Give yourself permission to cry. Don't apologize for your feelings or for your tears. Grief is a process, and it is different for everyone.
3. If you are going to a social function and are unsure you can handle it, take a close friend who can speak for you if the words become too difficult. Make sure you have an exit if needed.
4. Light a candle to remember your loved one. You can create a special area to display photos to honor times together.
5. Don't expect too much of yourself. If you need to get alone, or leave early from an event, allow yourself that opportunity. Set healthy boundaries for yourself.
6. If you don't feel like listening to Christmas music or sending cards, then don't! There will be a time when you feel like doing it again, but you can skip a year or two until you feel ready.
7. Consider giving a gift in memory of your loved on to your favorite charity, needy family, or to an organization your loved one supported or belonged.
8. Finding time to reflect and journal may be beneficial to you and help you deal with your emotions.
9. Reading the Bible, particularly Psalms, can be beneficial. Finding a good devotional book and setting aside a daily quiet time for prayer and meditation will be advantageous for your grief journey.
10. ULTIMATE TIP: Skip the elf, the reindeer, and the tree, and remember the real meaning of Christmas and celebrate Jesus' birthday, and remember that because of his sacrifice that we will be united again for eternity.

"Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Episode 23: Living Deeply Rooted in Faith with Melissa Wood

Melissa Wood courageously shares many personal trials that she has endured, and the importance of living a life deeply rooted in faith.

Reflecting on scripture, and her personal experiences, she proposes a four step plan in preparing yourself for the storms of life.

"Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way." James 1:2-4 MSG

"My prayer for you is that you come to live deeply rooted in your faith as I have learned to do. Take the time now, while the storm is at bay, to plan, prepare and practice for your next storm. Build your faith in the one, who when you seek him, will answer you and deliver you, from all your fears. Jesus Christ is our living hope!" -Melissa Wood

Episode 22: Angels Among Us

While we do not worship angels, or pray to angels, their work serves as an important part of God's Divine plan. Angels are spiritual beings created by God who help execute His work on Earth. They bring messages, protect God's people, offer encouragement, give guidance, bring punishment, patrol the Earth, and fight forces of evil. There are both good and evil angels, but because evil angels are allied with Satan, they have considerably less power and authority than good angels. Eventually, the main role of the good angels will be to offer continuous praise to God.

In this episode I share a few of the testimonies that I have received from my personal friends and guests, and a few favorites from specific texts (see sources below).

Believers BE ENCOURAGED! Angels are real and they are fighting for us in the spiritual realm. All glory to God!

Episode 21: Supernatural Healing in the Intensive Care Unit with Heather Strazza

In January of 2015, Heather was enroute to serve at her church when her vehicle was struck by a large SUV. She sustained life threatening injuries and was taken emergently for surgery with a severe traumatic brain injury. The physicians worked diligently, but did not see much hope for survival, or any possibility of life beyond a vegetative state.

Heather's family and church surrounded her with prayer. There were friends that lined the hallways to pray. The entire ICU (Intensive Care Unit) was filled with support, food and love from this Hillsong NY/NJ church family. Heather's family stayed strong and expectant for a miracle.

In this episode, Heather shares MULTIPLE miracles that occurred, not only for her, but for other patients and families receiving prayer during this time. I am truly blessed to share this miraculous testimony!

Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against thee shall prosper." KJV

"The love of God is overwhelming! Its so much bigger than what we can even imagine. He loves ALL of us and He wants each of us to be healed. If something bad happens, don't imagine that He would ever want that for you. We have an enemy, but God's love is all we need to survive." - Heather Strazza

Episode 18: God Leads Entrepreneur to do the Unthinkable - with Randy Halcomb

Randy Halcomb shares his very personal story about a test he experienced from God. Randy and his wife Darlene were young and starting their life together. While they were very happy in the modest trailer they lived in, they had no idea the journey ahead would be marked by tremendous financial success. At the height of their wealth, Randy felt God was clearly asking him to sell everything and get out of his highly profitable business. This choice seemed completely irrational to everyone. The unfolding of events, the way God so clearly showed Randy what he was to do, is miraculous! The blessing from God to follow is also spectacular!

I love sharing this testimony for so many reasons. First, Randy is my first cousin, and I love my family! Secondly, it is such a great illustration of how God can speak to us so clearly through others. When we recognize the signs, seek His word, and pray specifically, we can get confirmation in our spirit for the true will of God.

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" - Mark 8:36 KJV

Randy's insights:
"There will be a time in our life when we make more money than any other time. What we choose to do with that money affects the rest of our life. Manage what God has given you wisely."
"Remember that God's timing is always perfect. Trust His timing."
"Pray specifically, be alert and attentive to His leading, read His word."

Randy, thank you for sharing this testimony! Its truly miraculous!

God often calls us to things that we don't expect, at a time that we don't expect.

Cindi Veenstra shares her experience of serving in the Philippines where she finds herself in an emergency situation with her premature unborn baby. The way God provided for her during this time is simply extraordinary! I was beyond moved when I heard this miracle of God's provision, and I am so happy to share it with you!

Throughout our talk, Cindi said some profound things that stood out to me:

"There is no need to fear or overthink. Acknowledge God is there. He has the control when you put it in His hands."

Episode 16: From Heartache to Hope with Jan Teel-Nealis

Have you ever had a series of numbers keep showing up in your life and wondered why? According to many Biblical scholars, there are patterns in the Bible with numbers that bear a meaningful significance. Jan Teel-Nealis shares what these scripturally significant numbers mean to her as she navigated through a painful grieving process. After sharing these findings with friends, she documented the experience in her book, Grieving by the Numbers: Glimpses of Glory.

Jan Teel-Nealis was 9 years old when she met Del. He was the only man she had loved. They enjoyed almost 40 years of a happy marriage together, until he passed suddenly with his first and only heart attack. Jan suddenly found herself a widow.

In this episode Jan shares how she coped, and how she found happiness again. She offers practical ways to help process grief, and she shares how her faith was a huge part of her healing. She states,

"Grief is a process. No person goes through it the same. Its an individual journey with no right and wrong. Understand that God has so much more for your next chapter. Your best days could still be before you."

Jan is an author, speaker, entrepreneur, and owner of two successful real estate companies in the beautiful Carolinas.

"Instead of mourning what you've lost, celebrate what you had, and believe for something so much greater than what your heart could've conceived. I encourage you, instead of only carrying the burden and weight of grief, grab hold of hope. Hold onto Him (God), because He is holding on to YOU." - Jan Teel-Nealis

Episode 15: Promise from God Sustains a Man in His Darkest Hour

Lance Malone was 24 and loving his life in Atlanta when he was diagnosed with acute-on-chronic liver disease, which is associated with organ failure and high short-term mortality.

His liver disease progressed quickly, within just a few months. In his lowest moments, the Doctors informed him he was possibly down to his last hours. Lance poured his heart out to God, "Why?" Miraculously, God answered Lance, making him a promise... that He kept.

The miracle of the promise was just one piece of this story. While Lance experienced lots of bumps in his road to transplant and healing, there were pieces of his recovery that the nurses and doctors considered miraculous as well.

Lance is presently residing in Cleveland. He is the Founder and Visionary for Become Better Ministries, and the Manager of HIV Services at Care Alliance Health Center. He is also a Motivational speaker and Prophetic teacher.

"Have FAITH! Whether your situation is medical, or financial, you've got to trust God when you can't trace Him, and truly you will see that He WILL provide. Your circumstance is not too small for the Lord to intervene. He is still in the miracle making business, and yours is on the way!" -Lance Malone

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

It's a complete miracle that this beautiful young lady was once referred to hospice and given no hope, and is now the picture of health.

Alyona was only 22 and newly married when she was told she needed to consult with a gynecological oncologist for the mass in her abdomen. What followed those next few years was a journey she could not have imagined.

At her most critical point, she was down to just 80 pounds and suffering from stage 3B ovarian cancer and class IV heart failure, not a candidate for heart transplant. The physicians saw no other options and referred her to hospice.

Tune in and listen to her beautiful testimony of faith and healing! It's simply extraordinary!

"This world, and everything in it, comes and goes. The one constant is our God. Make your faith a priority and lean on Him." Alyona Goncharov

Ms. Char Howard shares her very personal story of traumatic events and loss that spiraled her into an addiction to food. At her lowest point she finds herself wheelchair-bound, oxygen dependent, on multiple medications, and defeated, when she calls out to God to take her life...or save it?

"True healing of the mind, body, and spirit only comes through Jesus Christ." - Charlya Howard

The vision God gave her in those moments was the catalyst for something miraculous.

Today, Char is FREE from her wheelchair and oxygen. She is FREE from her addiction. She is filled with peace, joy, and love for God. With a background in mental health nursing, she is passionate about serving others and helping them find healing. She is employed at the Healing Care Counseling Center as their Administrative Assistant and scheduler, and she is planning to pursue her Pastoral license. She visits Weight Watchers to inspire others, and credits them with some of her successful habits. However, she primarily teaches the Daniel Plan as it incorporates faith, and is where her heart lies.

Told by her physicians that she would never walk again, Char has now has walked a 5k, 10k, and will walk in her first 1/2 marathon in June. She shares that her MRI still reveals a major spinal cord injury, and she does still have days where she experiences pain, yet her faith helps her to sustain her through those times. Her medications have decreased from over 40 to 7! What an inspiration!

"They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed." - Matthew 14:36 NLT

Episode 11: Homeless and Alone at Age 9, Now Thriving After Overcoming Insurmountable Odds! with Diana Prykhodko

Diana Prykhodko is the child of a woman who suffered with mental illness and drug and alcohol abuse. She sustained such severe physical and emotional abuse during her mother's episodes that she felt the only way to escape was to live on the snow-covered streets in Kiev, Ukraine.

Through unexpected encounters, she found hope, and finally, love and healing. Hear her beautiful story of survival and transformation!

"Forgiveness is not for that person who offended you. It’s actually for YOU, to set YOU free." - Diana Prykhodko

Episode 10: Near-Death Experience Reveals a Glimpse of God's Promises w/Ken Johnson

Upon being diagnosed with the swine flu, Ken quickly became gravely ill. He was placed in a medically-induced coma for weeks during his treatment, and he suffered multiple serious complications that could have easily taken his life.

At the most critical point of his hospitalization, his physicians reported that he only had a 5% chance of survival. His blood pressure dropped precipitously, his family prayed, and he experienced something extraordinary.

"God's message to me was, 'I love you more than you will ever, ever know, and I have you in my right hand.' It brings tears to your eyes, the feeling of overwhelming love." - Ken Johnson

Millions of people globally are reporting near death experiences. According to John Burke's book, "Imagine Heaven," 1 out of 25 Americans has had a near-death experience. Although scientists have proposed multiple physiologic explanations, these theories fail to fully explain the phenomenon.

How do we interpret these experiences, and more importantly, if they are truly visits to heaven, how does this change our current priorities and the choices we make each day?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Episode 9: Missionary Fights for Her Life and Receives a Miracle in the Jungle of Bolivia

Lindsay Hart was only 21 when she committed to an 18 month mission trip in the jungle of Bolivia.

She was excited and hopeful to share the light of Jesus Christ, and she quickly fell in love with the culture.

Months into the mission experience she encountered something that threatened her life, completely unexpected, and she found herself in some of her darkest moments.

“God is aware of EACH one of us. He knows us so well, what we are capable of, how far we can be stretched. If we allow ourselves to stretch, to surrender, and go through really dark times, we can find how much lighter and brighter we are going to come out in the end.” - Lindsay Hart

Lindsay, thank you for sharing this experience! You are truly a beautiful person, inside and out, and I am honored to publish your story!

Episode 8: Chat with the Chaplain: 45 Years of Insight and Beautiful Experiences! w/ Chaplain David Carl

As a Nurse Anesthetist, I find it difficult to fully express the value of Hospital Chaplains. Many of my patients have received emotional and spiritual support during times of crisis, whether pre-surgery, traumatic events, or during their last moments of life.

Chaplains have also been valuable to comfort hospital employees and patient family members during emotional distress. They comfort a diverse population, all cultures and all faiths at their most vulnerable moments.

"Be open to the extraordinary. Don't get limited and distracted by Earthly activities."

-Chaplain David Carl, Senior Executive Director of Spiritual Care, Atrium Health

Chaplain David Carl has a Master of Divinity, and 45 years of experience! His background and his role is very unique, and I was honored to have a chance to spend an hour with him and capture some of his insight and his experiences. See below for what we discussed in our short time together:
