Episode 26: Affirmed as a Missionary to the Poor

Tom was just weeks away from a trip to a 5 star resort in St. Croix when felt God calling him to minister to the homeless. He canceled his trip and checked into the downtown men's shelter.

This call to love God's poor has evolved into a beautiful ministry. Rev. Wheeler is co-founder of Hoskins Park Ministries (www.hoskinspark.org), and the founder and executive director of Urban Outreach (www.theurbanoutreach.org).

Tom shares some of his personal story, and we discuss how to approach those in need, as well a few resources that may prove helpful.

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

Tom has written 2 non-fiction books: Second Wind, and Would You Have Fired Judas? He has also written 1 fiction book, Mason, and is working on the follow up to Mason at this time.

Episode 25: Supernatural Healing Miracle(s!) with Liz Sipper

At birth, Liz's parents were told they would not see their baby leave the hospital. Liz was born with an extremely rare congenital birth defect where her kidneys and ureters were not connected normally, disabling urine to be removed from her body. While Liz did survive, she has faced years of tremendous trials in her life. She shares how vital her faith has been in this journey, and she wants to give glory to God for the miraculous ways He has moved in all of her trials.

A few highlights:
10:20 How God so specifically answered her prayer for a husband
27:48 How God showed up and spoke to Liz before her healing
38:00 Amazing supernatural healing of her bladder
44:00 Hear a Doctor's reply to supernatural healing of her uterus

"I waited patiently for God to help me; then he listened and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path, and steadied me as I walked along. 3 He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things he did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in him." Psalm 40 TLB

Thank you Liz, for sharing this personal testimony with me! You are a blessing to me and anyone who receives this. All the glory to God!
